Wiki Off Again - posted on Mon May 19 at 12:13:35 by Timothy Collett
Unfortunately, I have once again had to disable the Wiki due to the unending flood of bots scraping absolutely everything under the sun for LLM training data.
I am now working on a plan to enable single-sign-on between the Wiki and the game, so that everyone will automatically have a Wiki account—and then putting most of the Wiki behind a login requirement. I would really rather not do this, but I don't see another way to reliably prevent the bots from wrecking the game.
I hope to be able to get this in place within the next few days. Please stand by and I will do my best to get the Wiki back online safely.

Happy April Fools! - posted on Tue Apr 1 at 22:46:41 by Timothy Collett
As you have no doubt all surmised, the fishing "minigame" is this year's April Fools joke.
I will leave it up over the course of the next week, during which time I will seek feedback on whether it's something that should stick around, or its novelty value wears off quickly enough that it would be better to take it out again.
In the meantime, feel free to continue to enjoy relaxing with a rod and line.

Kick Back and Relax - posted on Mon Mar 31 at 18:44:08 by Timothy Collett
With everything in the world being so stressful, wouldn't it be nice to just spend some time, sitting by the water, listening to the soothing sounds of nature? Now you can! Or at least, your nobles can. Please enjoy the new ability to go fishing! You can access it under "Actions".

Unit Morale Reset - posted on Wed Feb 12 at 14:32:39 by Timothy Collett
Unfortunately, a recent update had a typo in it (now fixed, should be fine for future turns) that led to many units losing massive amounts of morale. While I cannot easily restore any troops that may have deserted, I have reset all units' morale to 100% for now

Wiki Offline: DDoS from LLM Scraping Bots - posted on Fri Jan 17 at 11:47:24 by Timothy Collett
Update: The wiki is back online with some improvements to the anti-bot protections thanks to Andrew.
I apologize for the current slow and unstable performance of the BattleMaster server. We are experiencing another wave of bots scraping data from the Wiki to feed to LLMs for training, and they are effectively conducting a Distributed Denial of Service attack on the server.
In order to protect the game, I have temporarily disabled the Wiki, and will be consulting with Andrew on how best to keep this from happening in the future.
