Region Details

Description

Grazne is a peaceful region nestled in the northeastern corner of Caerwyn. It has many small villages dotting the hills as the land gently slopes from the thickly wooded highlands west of neighboring Knyazes to the shores of the Inner Sea. Light wooded areas fill the Region where wild game can easily be hunted.

Bluefin Bay is often filled with fishing boats as the fishermen of Haven village, the largest in Grazne, haul in nets of bluefish, a sweet tasting favorite of the locals. Grain fields cover the hillsides where the rays of the rising sun can paint them with its golden glow each morning. The warm winds from across the Inner Sea tend to temper the cold of winter, allowing the farmers to harvest crops even in the dead of winter. Caravans travel each Harvest day to neighboring regions providing a trade route from outlying regions to the capital to the south shipping food to the Duke. Teamsters can be seen tending to their draft horses, repairing the wagons, or spending time with their families between trips. The granaries have been expanded to provide storage for grain gathered from as far away as Walefishire and Dunnbrook before being transported to the distant capital.

Local youths can be seen lining up at the recruitment offices to volunteer to train to be one of the Grazne Grangers or the Archon Enforcers. Nearby are the militia barracks where the town guard stays until their tour of duty is over before settling down and raising a family.

The Temple to the Elements stands on a bluff just south of Haven overlooking the ocean. The roar of the waves against the nearby cliffs bear witness to the two Elements the Temple was dedicated to. The estates of the Lord overlook the village from the northeast of Haven situated along the water where the morning sun greets the staff each day.
