Description

The bleach white towers of Poryatown have long lost their color to the sun, yet they have remained defiantly strong against the tide of time. There are few people who remember what the towers looked like when the first Lurian settlers appeared, and fewer still who remember what stood beforehand. What is known about Poryatown is its richly mixed culture; its seamless blend of ancient and contemporary architecture; and its image as hearth and home to the Lower Toprakian people. Poryatown's residents are as strong and resilient as they are open and accommodating. Their city has been named a capital thrice by three separate realms, and survived sieges by man and monster both. Poryatown is the ancient pillar of civilization that refuses to fall down.

Monument to Aldus Dayne in Palace of Duke Gotz

The statue, sculpted from fine marble, portrays Heliacal Kenneth Gotz on his knees, cradling the lifeless body of Aldus Dayne. Kenneth, larger and more dominant, kneels in grief, his powerful form carved in exquisite detail. With one arm, he holds Aldus close to him, while with the other, he raises a clenched fist toward the sky, his face twisted in sorrow and rage as he curses the heavens. Aldus, smaller and serene in death, rests gently in Kenneth’s embrace. The polished marble accentuates the emotional depth of the scene, capturing the moment of agony and loss on the battlefield.

Carved from pristine marble, the statue of Heliacal Kenneth Gotz towers majestically above a scattered pile of rubble. The rubble, strewn with shattered holy symbols of the once-revered Sanguine Astroism, speaks to a fallen era of misguided faith. Kenneth himself is rendered as a massive, muscular, and breathtaking figure, his every chiseled contour exuding strength and divine beauty. Around him, brilliant, intricately carved symbols of Lux Nova radiate with a celestial glow, accentuating his role as a beacon of hope and renewal.
At the base of the statue lies a finely inscribed plaque that reads:  "Heliacal Kenneth Gotz, champion of the light, drove out the Consumers of the Blood Fruit, restoring the sacred order and ushering in the dawn of Lux Nova."
