Dominating the unforgiving heart of the expanse, Frundi is a region defined by harsh beauty and absolute hostility to the weak.
At its core lies the infamous Frundi Waste, a desolate plateau of cracked stone, biting winds, and frost-choked scrubland bleeding east into Asker. While neighboring Lavraz and Kadnala boast fertile breadbaskets, Frundi offers only biting cold and soil that must be fought for every meager harvest. Survival is a daily conquest, forging a dour, iron-willed people. Arable land is scarce, restricted to deep, sheltered valleys where hardy tubers and bitter-root are cultivated.
The true lifeblood of Frundi comes from the Waste itself; nomadic families herd massive, thick-wooled fat-tail sheep across rocky steppes, while hunting parties track the dangerous, rogue beasts stalking the borders of the Corali Forest. The architecture reflects this stark pragmatism. Lacking gilded merchant wards or delicate glass lyceums, settlements are built low from heavy, mortarless stone to withstand howling winds and brutal winters.
The regional seat of power, The Cairn, is a looming, utilitarian fortress carved directly into the sheer rock face of the western ridges. It serves simultaneously as a defensive redoubt, a granary, and a harsh monument to the region's endurance.
Long viewed as a place of exile or penitence by softer realms, Frundi's isolation provides a perfect sanctuary for those who embrace its unyielding nature. This frontier naturally breeds exceptional scouts and hardened militia, anyone surviving to adulthood in the shadow of the Waste is a veteran of the elements. Here, there is no room for superficial pageantry; there is only the wind, the stone, and the strength of the hands that work it.
