The region of Kell consists of two broad areas. The first is Kellmoor, a large expanse of upland ground set aside for hunting by the Lords of Ossmat after the conquest by Grehk. The second is the Kell valley which was once an extensive woodland mentioned in the Grehk archives. Hunting on Kelloor was an infrequent pursuit, and so much of the more productive ground in the valley was turned over to farming as agricultural and common land with many scattered farms.
The main market town is called Loxley Chase ( Lox, meaning "Lynx", Leah, meaning "glade", and Chase indicating it was once hunting land ) and lies on the northern side of the Kell Valley. It was formerly moorland that was converted to pasture land and enclosed by straight dry stone walls. Loxley Chase provides a place for farmers from neighboring regions to sell their produce to merchants from Ossmat. Kell itself profits by the trade and also has a good manufacturing industry in wool, wood and leather products.
Kell is also Holy Land to the faith of The Saint of Revenon. It is said that it is the birth place of the Great Saint Revenon, God of the Sinless.
