Eykfar is a large and fertile region, home to many peasants and their stock. The region boasts expansive pasture lands which grow lush with grasses and ripe with amber grains. The most established farmers add to their living growing cabbage, carrots, and parsnips. Large horses and heavy oxen are a common sight on the roadways, carrying these precious farm goods to market.
The myriad small hamlets and villages that dot the countryside are centers of trade, fellowship, and faith. Each hamlet has an open area in its center for gathering. And, unlike the quiet countryside, the towns are a noisy place. With farmers driving cattle and sheep to market, peddlers singing out the offerings, and people milling about sharing stories and ideas, and buying worked leather, woolen cloth, fish and farm goods.
The Lord of Eykfar home in Inukshuk Manor. The large half-timbered house sits atop the western fields of the region. From the grounds, one can clearly see the azure Bay of Twillen and the deeper blues of the Lost Joppen Sea. The Manor boasts many outbuildings including a large falconry mews. Hawking is a much favored pastime, and Inukshuk lands host many grand hawking parties for local nobility.
