The rolling plains of Tor have always proved to be fruitful and verdant giving rise to numerous small farming communities. The road infrastructure making the land a crossroads on the routes between many cities and urban areas has led to the increased importance and renown of the area.
The farm lands have won accolades in national vegetable shows for the quality of the legumes and soft fruits in particular. The Tor blood orange is one of the more famous fruits being sold as a delicacy in many of the surrounding city regions. Unlike most blood oranges it is not named for the color of the fruit, but for the fact that being subject to so much war and battle Tor farmers credit the blood of their enemies (whomever they may be at whatever time) for the juiciness and quality of these sought after fruits.
