Region Details

Description

The city of Fronepu stands as the capital of Ar Agyr, though the vibrant history of the city and the realms that had once occupied it is strongly present in the region's architecture and the four ring-like districts.

Outer Fronepu:
The most outward district lies outside of the main walls of the city, surrounded by the crumbled remains of the old city walls. Towering over the district is the Old Stronghold, one of the last remnants of Melhed's reign over the city, now serving as an outer garrison for the city's militia. This district houses much of the city's manufacturing and lower citizens, spread throughout the span of the ruins and the walls.

Fronepu Commons:
Housed within the city walls is a sprawling web of streets, houses, taverns and artisan workshops all centered around the Market Square where a variety of goods, luxuries and food can be found coming in from the harbor and the countryside. Cutting through this maze of streets and wonders is a main thoroughfare, leading from the main gates to the War and Harbor districts.

War District:
Deeper within the city is another walled off district where the Tower of War watches over all. Located in the district is a collection of the city's military might, housing the recruitment centers, military academy along with its own smithy and tournament field. The tower overlooking the district is topped with a massive brazier that is set alight and keep lit when the realm is at war.

Harbor District:
Filled with rows of bustling docks, warehouses and shipyards the harbor district is filled with additional market stalls, taverns and accessories branching off of the main road leading to the port is the hill which the Queen's Palace sits upon, a grand structure that houses the throne of Ar Agyr and serves as the primary meeting place for the city's council and aristocracy.

Monument to Minor Conduit of Flesh and Blood in Minor Conduit of Blood and Flesh

The Minor Conduit of Flesh and Blood is a grotesque, pulsating structure of sinewy tendrils and veined, organic growths. Twisting upward like a corrupted tree, its dark, fleshy roots writhe, anchoring it to the earth in a network that spreads like a blight. At its core, a semi-translucent, blood-red cyst hovers, suspended by the living tendrils that feed it. The cyst pulses rhythmically, exuding a low, resonant hum that distorts the air and draws the faint sound of whispers from unseen mouths.

The surface of the cyst shifts, revealing fleeting glimpses of writhing forms trapped within its viscous depths, their silent agony fueling its power. Veins on the tendrils glow faintly with a sickly light, coursing with stolen life essence. It casts no light but twists shadows unnaturally, as though bending reality itself. This abhorrent conduit is a profane nexus, gathering dark energy to sustain its daimonic creators and corrupting the very land it defiles.
